Revolution in 5th & 6th Class!
The French Revolution
5th and 6th Class studied all about the French Revolution in History. Then we created projects about the French Revolution.
The topics we covered were:
Napoleon Bonaparte
The French Flag
The Enlightenment
The Execution of King Louis XVI
The National Assembly
The Causes of Revolution
The Storming of The Bastille
Everyone was put into groups and we carried out extensive research on our topics. There was a lot of hard work put into these projects and it was very enjoyable to listen to when the students presented them to the class.
Here are some pictures of us doing our presentations.
Super Selfies!
Super Selfies!
5th and 6th class created self-portraits in Art. First, we divided the page into four separate areas. This made it easier to draw because it made lining up the eyes much easier. It also made lining up the nose and the mouth easier. This was our second attempt at our self- portraits. This second attempt was a lot better than our first attempt. We really enjoyed drawing these self-portraits. Take a look and see if you can recognise us!
Green Fingers in Scoil Chaoimhín Naofa
With the help of the whole school and the parents association, after Múinteoir Áine, Múinteoir Brian and Múinteoir Anna turned the soil and weeded the bed. The Vegetable Garden was planted. We planted, scallions, garlic, onions, chives, lemon balm, lumper potatoes, British Queens, different kinds of lettuce, radish, peas and beans.
As long as the weather cooperates, we should have lovely salad plants ready for harvest come the summer holidays. Well done to each and every class who are out weeding and watering once a week!

Michelin Star Quality
This Thursday and Friday Rang 3 were making wedges as part of our Incredible Edibles journey. Nearly everyone tried our two flavours; just salt or paprika and chilli. Here’s the recipe and some pictures of our preparation.
Wash your hands and get everything ready. You will need, knife, teaspoon, vegetable oil, about 4 medium sized rooster potatoes, paprika, chilli powder, roasting dish and salt. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (fan)
Cut the potatoes in half and then slice into thick chips (with skin on)
Add one tsp of oil into roasting tin and sprinkle with salt. Place wedges into the roasting tin. (If using spices sprinkle 1tsp of chilli powder and paprika to taste at thi time)
Place in oven and cook for 20 - 30 minuets.
Take out of oven, let cool and ENJOY!
