Ethos Statement
Scoil Chaoimhín Naofa is a co-educational Catholic primary school, under the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin. In school we promote a supportive and Christian community. We endeavour to provide a positive environment where good personal relationships and mutual respect are the corner stones.
Mission Statement
Scoil Chaoimhín Naofa Aims
To develop each child fully using a child centred – curriculum.
To develop each child intellectually, morally, spiritually, socially, physically and culturally to the best of his/her ability.
To provide the conditions necessary to enable each person to obtain an education appropriate to his/her physical, intellectual and imaginative capacity.
To promote knowledge, skills and attitudes, a spirit of inquiry and the capacity to analyse issues critically and constructively.
To create tolerant, caring and politically aware members of society.
To foster in the children an awareness and sense of responsibility to their local environment of Glendalough and then in turn the greater environment of the world.
To help each child realise his/her strengths and to promote positive self-esteem and self-satisfaction.
To promote a true image of the school within the community as a happy educational establishment of high quality.
To strive to promote, both individually and collectively, the professional and personal development of teachers through staff development programmes.
To encourage the involvement of parents through home/school contacts and through their involvement in the Scoil Chaoimhín Naofa Parents Association.
